As you’re getting ready to join us at San Diego RV Resort, you might have a question about our resort. Below, we’ve answered some of the most common questions about the resort. Do you offer Wi-Fi? Is it free?
Yes, we offer free Wi-Fi at the resort. This is a standard connection perfect for checking emails or light surfing of the web.
What are your rates?
Our rates are based on length of stay, site size, site amenities, and location within the resort. For stays of less than 31 days, you can reserve online. For extended stay rates, call the resort at 877-717-6667
Do you offer full hookups?
Each of our RV spaces features water, sewer, cable TV, and 30/50 amp electric. Extended stay rates are plus metered electric.
Do you have pull-through spaces? Can you accommodate a 45-foot RV?
Yes and yes. San Diego RV Resort features a limited number of popular pull-through sites. Due to their high demand, we do not offer these sites for extended stay reservations. We do, however, have many large sites that we can offer our extended stay visitors and owners of the larger RVs.
Are you close to San Diego attractions?
We are the closest Sunland RV Resort to San Diego. Our RV resort is right off of the freeway, and you can visit most major attractions and beaches within 20 minutes. In addition, we have direct access to the convenient San Diego Trolley. Walk out of our RV resort, right onto the trolley, and be whisked away too many of San Diego’s top attractions. Are you close to shopping and dining?
Yes, there are several major restaurants within one mile of the resort. There are also grocery stores and large retailers like Walmart within two miles. You can also hop on the trolley and visit one of the malls in Mission Valley including the very popular Fashion Valley Mall, which is only 15 minutes away.
Do you allow RV groups?
We only accept groups during our off-peak months. Please call the resort for details and availability. You can also visit some of our other Sunland RV Resorts that offer larger groups.
Do you accept pets? Are there any restrictions?
Every Sunland RV Resort is pet-friendly. We supply pet waste bags and have several nice walking areas for your pet’s enjoyment. We do limit each site to two pets and do not allow any aggressive breeds. For specific restrictions, contact our office at 877-717-6667.
Do you have a pool and is it heated?
We sure do, our resort offers both a temperature-controlled outdoor pool and a spa for your year-round enjoyment. The enclosed pool area features privacy landscaping, shade umbrellas, and lounges.
Do you sell propane?
Yes. We offer on-site service that can be delivered to your RV or picked up at our propane station.
When is check-in time? Check-out time?
Check-in time is 1 p.m. Check-out is 12 noon. Early arrivals and late departures (if available) may be subject to a nominal fee.
Do you have restrictions on RV types?
Yes, we do. All RVs must be fully self-contained and are subject to an exterior inspection upon arrival. Each RV must be clean, rust free, and with no broken windows. If an RV is motor-powered, it must be in good running condition. Tarps on roofs and other modifications are strictly prohibited. The resort has a complete list of rules and regulations on file for your review. Sorry, we do not offer tent camping.
Can I have a campfire?
Unfortunately, no. Local city ordinance does not allow this for your safety with RVs and propane gas in the vicinity. However, barbecues are welcome.
Are you a membership resort? How long can I stay?
No. We are non-membership and non-ownership RV resort. We offer daily, weekly, and extended stay rates. We have a 6-month extended stay limit. Please inquire with the front desk for seasonal stays.
Do you offer discounts?
We offer 10% discounts off of our daily rate for; Good Sam, and Active duty military. We also offer Passport America rates for a three-day maximum when available. A valid ID card must be presented at check-in to obtain these discounts. Offers may not be combined and do not apply to any other discounted rates.
Can I reserve a specific site?
If you are looking to book a certain site then please call our front desk staff to assist you. We can not guarantee availability.
Do you have a laundry facility?
Yes. We have two recently remodeled on-site laundry facilities. The machines are coin operated.
Do you offer RV storage on site?
We have a very limited number of storage spaces available, but additional RV storage can be found at our nearby sister resorts.
How do I get there?
From Westbound I-8: Take Exit #11 (70th St. and Lake Murray Blvd.). Turn left at stop sign, and then make a left at Lake Murray Blvd. At Alvarado Rd. take another left, cross trolley tracks (veer left), and the RV resort will be one mile down on right. From Eastbound I-8: Take Exit #11 (70th St. and Lake Murray Blvd.) Stay in left lane, and at the top of the off-ramp, make a left on Alvarado Rd. Cross the trolley tracks (veer left), and the RV resort will be one mile down on right.
Do you offer RV Rentals?
Unfortunately, no. However, we can provide you with several local rental companies including Cruise America – (800) 671-8042 and El Monte RV – (619) 449-1513
What is your cancellation policy? What is your reservation change policy?
Daily/Weekly Reservations: Call or email at least 72 hours prior to arrival, or a one-night minimum charge will be billed. Holiday time period reservations: Call or email at least 72 hours prior to arrival, or your paid deposit will be forfeited. Monthly Reservations: Call or email at least 10 days prior to arrival, or your paid deposit will be forfeited.
